i might be classified as an "academic liberal" type by some, but i still love the game. i have no problem with the nfl.

the people getting shocked by this stuff need to get out more. if you love your children, and have open dialogue with them, then exposure is rarely a detrimental thing.

the problem is that so few parents have the charisma/volition to approach their children as communicative humans. taking offense is a waste of time. spend this time constructively by engaging in honest discourse.

sorry about the academic liberal comment -- I feel that I am of that ilk myself.

I just used it as short hand for the perception by some that football is "caveman" etc.
