Trade deadline approaching -- Rate the keepers

In many leauges, the trade deadline is approaching and I'm sure others, like myself, are not only trying to make a run at the fantasy bowl, but position themselves for next season. Rate the top 40 keepers, regardless of position. Here's my preliminary top-40. I may adjust these after I have a little more time to think about them.

Anyone want to talk about keepers? I figured this would be a hot topic right now.

I think you are seriously undervaluing RBs such as SA, Deuce, and Jamal.

Where is Travis Henry? Assuming he is with a new team, he should at least rank above TEs and DEFs. Obviously, alot of this depends on off-season moves.

IMO, Deuce and Jamal have always been overrated and Alexander might not be with the Seahawks next year. Either way, it's a stretch to say a player is "seriously undervalued" when I have him rated as the 10th-best keeper overall. Care to submit your own rankings?

At first glance, there are too few RBs on the top of the list.

QBs are dominating games this year, but I think that is an anamoly. Manning for example is drawing comparison to '84 Marino, but Marino only came within 15 TDs of that number one more time in his whole career. I'm not saying Peyton won't continue to be one of, if not the best QB in fantasy; but I don't think the philosophy that RBs are the most integral part of a fantasy squad has changed.

Here is my top 10, but this will change depending on personnel moves in the offseason -

3. SA
4. Deuce
5. Jamal
6. Edge
7. Priest
8. TO
9. Portis
10. Moss

This is completely off the top of my head, so I'll probably make changes but it's a start.

I don't have time to do that.

At this point, I would not take another RB for Alexander (Priest, LT both are hurt), but why take Tiki over Alexander?

This whole discussion should be saved until after we find out where SA, Henry, Rasta, Edge, Marvin wind up. However, at first glance, you seem to not even take position scarcity into account...at all.

Edit: I would love to play in a league where someone keeps Baltimore's D over people like Travis Henry, Rudi Johnson, Kevin Jones, or Steven Jackson.

I have and love the Baltimore D but there is no way I will be keeping them.

Depending on how desperate a team is for quality keepers I wouldn't criticize someone for keeping a Def.

Baltimore would be the only team of consderation however.

I wouldn't consider a DEF unless my league was weighted heavily with D points or we kept a large number of people.
