I'm not sure if it belongs here, but it's one of the largest rivalries in American sports, and i think it deserves a thread :D

Go Buckeyes!

Michigan's luck this year:

San Diego State
Purdue
Michigan State
Wisconsin losing to MSU

I don't hate Michigan. I do have a rivalry with a good friend (I like ND, he likes Michigan, we root against each other), but I just hate to see lucky teams end up in the BCS when there are much more deserving teams out there. I know I will catch some for this (Cafe is loaded with Michigan fans), but that's just my opinion!

You call that luck, I call that being talented in the clutch.

Michigan should win pretty handily this week I would think.

Did someone just say Michigan is Lucky!?!?!?!?

Thats one of the most inaccurate adjectives Ive ever heard someone use in describing Michigan. If anything, this is an incredibly unlucky team. They have some of the best talent in the country at literally every position - and their depth is sound. The only loss we had was against ND - who bases their entire season every yr on whether or not they beat Michigan (much like every single other opponent Michigan faces) - and we loss to them in SBend when we had no real RB and our QB was facing his first real collegiate competition. Give me a break - lucky???

The Big 10 gets no respect - its ridiculous to see a team like Utah ranked ahead of Michigan - absolutely ridiculous. I dont care if they are undefeated - take them out of the Mountain West and put em in a real conference.

sorry - end of rant :-°

Your argument has some validity Cornbread. But Michigan was lucky against MSU. You have to admit that. State blew it, and their QB getting hurt killed them. Dowdell couldn't likely start at a Div III school. And they had to put him in. He couldnt beat Rutgers, so holding a lead in Ann Arbor was not going to happen. State just couldnt stop Braylon. The talent is too steep. When they have to put a guy single coverage that is 6 inches smaller than him. Yikes. And I didn't even mention the lousy officiating I saw. Edwards hugging the defender and then making a catch...Lots of uncalled holding penalties...

I would call this lucky. MSU shouldn't have even been in the ballgame here.

But Michigan escaped. Big time. They did look good last week against Northwestern though.
