Just as we shuffle DEF's for good matchups, I was wondering if anyone did this with their IDP's and their results.

I would never do this for my DB, as Azumah rocks, regardless who they play.

But since we also have to play a DL (I usually play M. Peterson--JAX), I'm going to play R. Mathis this week due to his matchup vs. Bears. He's coming off 3 sack week and Krenzel has been getting sacked at least 5 times a game!

I'll post a follow up, but was curious if anyone's done this??? :-?
Please help me with mine, thanks!

After a frustrating first couple weeks, I tried this based primarily on a couple web cheat sheets and my own inadequate analysis. I've been sucking wind. Find myself usually just chasing guys who've already peaked.
I'm far less certain that using IDP's was a good idea than I was at the beginning of the season.

I use them just as I would a team defense. It depends on your lg scoring ( tackles/assts/sacks etc) as a factor and also the matchup for that week.

I just picked up and started Mathis as well. And C.June from Indy. I usually don't shuffle 'em around too much, though. I got J.Porter (the Pittsburgh Brawler), B.Dawkins, Z.Thomas.....

One strategy I found that really helps is to try and play the guys who have home games. They tend to get more tackles that way.

My IDPs have changed around alot this year, but I don't shuffle them because of their matchup like I would do with a team DEF. Mostly because of injuries and byes. If they're putting up really good numbers, I'll keep them on even on a bye. But I'm constantly watching the FAs to see who's breaking out and I'll cut someone who doesn't live up to my expectations.
What's your fat ass doing here?

He's my only means of conveyance. Buuut I guess I do spoil him.

As promised, I said I'd reply to my new strategy attempt.

Robert Mathis did his job for my squad:

8.50 points! Heck he outscored Tiki, AJ, and HWard for me!! :-?

[1 sack, 1 FF, 1 FR, 3 solo tackles]

Anyways, today he gets the boot for Greg Ellis (DAL), who I expect to give Krenzel similar treatment.

So far, so good, then! ;-D

Usually not with LB/DL. Once you get a stud, stay with him. Our league gives 2pt per tackle, 1pt per assist + normal stuff. Sticking with studs like Fletcher, J Sharper, Urlacher and Witherspoon, who I picked up 2 weeks ago. That guy is on fire.

The matchup thing works better with DB's. Play those DB's against passing teams.
