Safe to write off Pennington?

Is this guy more or less worthless in a non-keeper league now?

Id say yes unless you are really desperate - and chances are if you are that desperate you arent going to your leagues playoffs which is the only time he might be of help.

He'll be out the full four weeks originally diagnosed, so yes, seek other options in non-keeper leagues.

Well even in a keeper I doubt you should keep him since his ADP next year will probably be no higher than round 6.

Shame about Chad Pennington. Here's another guy who, as a QB is having a great year (66% completions, 7.61 yards per attempt 3:1 TD ratio, 97.4 QB rating), but because of the heavy emphasis on TDs in fantasy scoring is considered a bust. It's not his fault that the Jets are passing a lot less than league average and the combo of their o-line and Martin/Jordan are so effective in the red zone. He's been very good outside of that really bad decision against the Pats to force the ball to Chrebet. Now that he's hurt, that just compounds the situation. Definite definite great value pick in 2005.

Worthless. Now is not the time to clog up a roster spot for a QB that doesn't through fpr yardage or TDs AND who is out a minimum of four weeks.

Yup, he is worthless. Its safe to drop him. In the beginning of the season I remeber threads about him being a top 5 QB. Glad I didnt draft him this year.
