TOMLINSON PRACTICES A DAY EARLIER THAN USUAL...

.Written By TFL Report Editor Bob Harris | Posted Friday November 19, 2004 @ 09:25 PT

According to North County Times staffer Jay Paris, LaDainian Tomlinson, who has been nursing a sore groin, practiced on Thursday as did tight end Justin Peelle (ankle).
It was the first time in more than a month that Tomlinson has practiced on Thursday. In previous weeks he sat out the workouts to receive treatment. Head coach Marty Schottenheimer told reporters after the session was over that Tomlinson looked "good."

The coach went on to state his star halfback was "making good progress. ..."

Among those not practicing Thursday were receiver/return man Tim Dwight (toe) and No. 2 halfback Jesse Chatman (toe). However, Schottenheimer said Dwight and Chatman will play Sunday in Oakland.

According to San Diego Union-Tribune beat man Jim Trotter, Schottenheimer said he has no concerns about the timing of the offense being off because of injuries to regulars such as Tomlinson, fullback Lorenzo Neal, Peelle, Dwight and Chatman.

"Tim, LT and Jesse have pretty much made the (injury) list every week and performed quite creditably," Schottenheimer said.

sounds like good news ;-D

Either that or Brees is going to light it up with the Gates connection one more time.

For Tomlinson expect the 3 quarter performance as he has done in the past but 3 quarters against Oakland is just as good as 4 for any other back.

Same here. If ever I needed him to shake off the groin twinge, and post a game reminiscent to last years games against Oakland, it's today.
