Do you guys think that he will be the Bucs starting RB next season? I had picked him off the waivers to be my 3RB for next year. Is he worth it?

I dunno for sure Jersey. But I just picked him up in a keeper league just in case. He may be worth a flier if you have a spot.

The better Pittman plays though, will make it harder for Garner to get his job back.

If I had to pick one right now I would say Pittman will start. But that is completely a guess.

It was worth a flier for me though, as I am needing RB help in one league.

here is a little tidbit from rotoworld.com about pittman:

Coach Jon Gruden acknowledged that Michael Pittman will be Tampa's primary back moving forward.
Owners in dynasty leagues should be happy. Pittman is averaging 4.6 yards-per-carry and has set his career high with six touchdowns. Charlie Garner's future in the NFL is in doubt.

Garner's more likely to retire after this season than he is to ever start for an NFL team again.

Garner has suffered a severe knee injury, will be 34 or 35 next year and Pittman is playing great right now. Gruden gave Pittman his stamp of approval from this point.

I suppose anything's possible, but it isn't looking to bright for Charlie.

I would agree that there isn't a lot to look forward to in the future with Garner. He's a smallish back that has taken a pounding during a very nice career. Best case scenario for him now would be a spot player or change of pace guy.

That's what I'm thinking. Still a great reciever out of the backfield, Garner may have some value next year; but definately not as a keeper or as anyone you should draft 'til the very late rounds.

What do you mean? Good for next year, but not a keeper?

I was thinking for next year and I'm in a complete keeper :)

it was never garner's starting job, pitman has been with us (bucs) since the superbowl, he was the starter for this season because pittman was doing jailtime.
