First of all, I should have won easily, but I didn't do my homework this week, because I had Branch on the I.R. still.
Anyway I was down 12 going into the Monday night game with N.E.'s "D". They had 3 sacks and an INT with less than a minute to go, giving me 12 points and the tie (which I would have lost because in our league a tie goes to the home team). But on K.C's very last play, Willie gets a sack on T. Green!! Victory!! Playoffs here I come!!

I'm an old fart (19 year fantasy vet)...so I am prone to wandering down lanes of nostalgia...

1987....strike year....week 2 (just prior to strike) ....I was down by some unGodly amount of points to my opponent late on a Sunday afternoon (neither of us had any MNF players going)....

I had only Montana and Rice still playing....up against the Bengals in Cincinnati.... less than 20 seconds left....Bengals ball...4th down

For whatever reason....instead of simply punting the ball deep into 49er territory.....Wyche decides to have Esiason dance around in the backfield in hopes of running the clock out....

Esiason gets hammered, 49ers take over at mid-field....with time enough for one play to the endzone....

wouldn't ya know it.... Montana hits Rice ....49ers win.....and I pull out my fantasy game by 4 points

Number 1 seed baby! Playoffs locked up- I pity the wild card guy who ever that is.

I had almost have the same deal with Seattle giving me 8-9 points in the last 2 minutes of the Miami game.... I won by 7 this week... The gods wer smiling upoon me... No Doubt
