Butch Davis on the way out

Postby 1crzydmnd » Tue Nov 23, 2004 4:17 pm

From KFFL:

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports if the Cleveland Browns fire head coach Butch Davis during the season, the team could look towards defensive coordinator Dave Campo as their interim coach. However, offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie has also previously served as an interim coach during his days with the Washington Redskins.

Hope this is the right forum.

Yeah Mort broke it last night on Monday Night countdown. If the Browns lose to the Bengals this weekend he is done. He said they discussed fired him on Sunday night but will give him one more week at least.

Thank God, One of the three worst coaches in football.

In no particular order.

Mike Tice
Dennis Erickson
Butch Davis

I hope they are all gone.

Please God Smite Butch Davis down!!!!!

I thought this was interesting because now we are all going to find out what the players think of Butch. If the Brownies come out fired up and shellac the Bengals you know they support him. If the come out draggin azz and play an unmotivated game you know they want him gone. I'm not talking about winning or losing here, but what type of effort they put forth.

Considering it is against the Bengals he at least has a fair chance of winning, although I hope the Bengals win so we can get rid of the bastage.

I'm gonna sacrifice a live chicken before the game in hopes it will help the cause. ;-)

Butch is out regardless IMO. He might as well put in the awesomeness that is Luke McCown. ;-)

ESPN may have to have a debate between Pasquerelli and Mortenson.

Pasquerelli has him riding out the season.
