Updating ongoing reports, according to Pat McManamon of ClevelandBrowns.com, Cleveland Browns head coach Butch Davis will remain with the team through the end of the season, despite recent speculation that his firing was forthcoming. "Butch is the coach for the rest of the season -- as we've always discussed," team president John Collins said. "Going forward, we're interested in building a more substantive football operation, and we're open -- as Butch and [owner Randy Lerner] have discussed -- to bringing in anyone to help the team win." Discussions about adding a general manager or director of football operation will not take place until the 2004 season ends, Collins said.
