No Playstation can beat the beauty and the slick design of this one (or the terrific sound it made when you popped the tape into mommy's kitchen radio). Man, we were so cool in those days...
Darn, Gutt...You beat me to it. I have this baby still. Looking at passing it on to my kid.
I loved kicking field goals with it.
I think Tecmo bowl and Super Tecmo Bowl for me were great, and the Mattel Football one and two...The first one was good, but the second one was better since you could go backward, and pass...
I remember having a helicopter game called i believe whirly bird, great game, until the chopper tried to save g.i. joe from a fire. Needless to say never played with either again. Loved M network baseball, me and my brother would have full seasons keeping all of the stats in a trapper keeper. Great thread my fave of all time, lots of memories.

Someone mentioned Super Tecmo Bowl for the NES, that's awesome. I almost always used the Raiders and ran Bo Jackson on almost every down. It was insane, how fast he ran on that game!
Also, with the transformers, nothing was cooler than Soundwave. I remember buying him at Mervyns back in 1985, along with all five of the tape Decepticons that went with him. I can't remember what all of their names were...Ravage was the black panther, Frenzy and Rumble were the twins, but I can't recall one of the birds. I know one was called Lazerbeak, but the other one escapes me. Anyone remember?
