Staley Out?

Postby DocSlinky » Sat Nov 27, 2004 8:24 pm

Just saw in one of the other forums where someone said that Staley was not playing tomorrow...he cited the Fox Sports report.
Anyone have hard info on this?

Pretty surprising. He practiced all week. Heard it was a good practice yesterday, too. I've seen nothing else since.

Everything I've heard/read indicates that Staley will get the start.

Not sure how to cut and paste but if you check Rotoworld it has stated that Cowher may sit Staley due to field conditions. Going to get a lot of rain tonight and in the morning.

Not only that but Heinz Field's conditions are terrible already after a few games have been played there in the last couple of days...so this is very possible, something to monitor in the AM.

Chuck Finder, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - The day after Heinz Field's fifth football game in a six-day span, the day before the Steelers Redskins game, the much-discussed Natural Grass/DD GrassMaster had a familiar November-end look. Brown. Mottled. Mucky. Sticky. Slippery. "It's bad," center Jeff Hartings said about the field. "But it's something we're used to here. Visiting teams probably have a harder time dealing with it."
