Chris Brown DONE?? When to drop him???

Postby fisk27 » Mon Nov 29, 2004 12:56 am

From Rotoworld:

Coach Jeff Fisher hinted that Chris Brown's toe injury may jeopardize his season.
Brown has struggled with the injury for over a month. "He did not try to play. We made a decision before the game," Fisher said. "A collective decision that was in his best interest for the remainder of the season and his career not to push it.”

WOW, that sucks. Thank GOD i have depth but i really wanted to put him back in...and Onterrio Smith is just sitting as another backup on waivers...
QB: Stafford (E. Manning, Cutler)
RB: DMC, Hillis, Beanie (Javon Ringer, Marion Barber)

Wow, they are dropping fast this year. With all the injuries and poor play, some guy is starting Michael Pittman and Nick Goings and looking solid as a rock at the RB position.

Before the season started everyone was saying that Brown was gonna get hurt mainly because of his upright running style. Who would have thought it would be his toe that ruined his season.

I've taken it on the chin this season with injuries. I've had to deal with a mess all year.
Brown: Turf toe.
LT: Groin issues all year until now.
Suggs: Toe, out this week.
Wheatley: Got shoveled up off the snowy field tonight. Missed most of the year.

So going into the final week of my regular season I am depending on Chester Taylor to fill my #2 RB spot. Oddly enough he's a great play vs Cincy. Especially with Ogden back.

Thankfully, I have Antowain. Now, if they can just stop blowing smoke up our butts and let us know whether Brown will see the field or not instead of indicating "he looks good".

Methinks it's time to trade the whole Brown/Smith thing before the trade deadline.

Who's trade deadline hasn't passed already?

Also, who would actually trade for Chris Brown?

I hope he is not done for the year as I need him for the playoffs! If he is I'll have to choose between Goings, k.Jones or A.Smith to start along with Deuce on my team.

Started out with C. Brown, and Staley running my team to first place, with Suggs and S. Davis injured on the bench and Moss catching numerous TD's.

I'm still tied for first and starting Pittman and J. Jones, and picked up Boldin to fill in for Moss, although that hasn't exactly panned out, but hopefully Moss will continue to be productive.

Making key acquisitions for injured players, or potential second half studs is the key to FF success.

I got screwed by the guy this week as all indications were that he was a go. A. Smith may be decent down the stretch but he's not Brown by any stretch. Too bad, he was headed to a legit top 5 finish.
