yahoo question.....adjusted points

hey, its probably a stupid question, but whats the point of the "adjusted" points? thanks

i've been wondering that same thing. My suspicion is that this is somehow related to the strength of your league -- i.e. point spreads, point totals etc.

for some reason i think its for playoffs/rankings

How are my adjusted points calculated?
Adjusted points will be calculated for all Public Leagues by:

1. Multiplying your team's fantasy point total by the total points earned by all fantasy teams in your league

2. Multiplying the current week number by 500.

3. Dividing the result from Step One by the result from Step Two.

i saw that on yahoo too, but couldnt find anything saying why the adjusted points are there
