If I pick up Julius Jones, would you drop Blaylock or Taylor

Postby Lloyder » Tue Nov 30, 2004 5:12 pm

I already have Pittman & Holmes (when healthy) and I want to pick up Julius Jones but I need to drop either Blaylock or Taylor. Most likely, I will not play Taylor for the rest of the season (vs Pit & Chi for regular season, GB & Hou in playoffs -- if I win my next 2) and Blaylock scores more than Taylor but will be splitting time w/ Johnson. Priest might be back for wk 14 but I can't dump him just in case he does make it back. So would you dump Taylor or Blaylock & get JJ or keep both and not pick up JJ. JJ plays Sea, NO, Phi, & Was.

Jones looks like a great pickup for a stretch run....

personally I would roll the dice, take Julius and drop Blaylock

Taylor provides more insurance than the Blaylock/Johnson scenerio

You don't have a crappy WR or backup QB to drop for him?

Drop Blaylock. Larry Johnson may not take over, but he will at least cut down Blaylock's #s significantly.

You have to like Julius Jones. He's proven he can play well.

After Julius Jones exploded with 150 yards and 2 TDs on Thanksgiving, and with Willis McGahee torching the Seattle Seahawks for 116 yards and 4 TDs yesterday, Julius Jones is a MUST-START against the Seattle run defense next Monday night. He next faces New Orleans, the worst run defense in the league. Unfortunately, his schedule is a little tougher with Philadelphia and Washington - and those weeks are the fantasy playoffs!
