Spread against niners in week 13

Anybody here think the -11 spread for the Rams is way too high? I think the niners may even win this game. After losing to the Dolphins, Erickson will finally throw caution to the wind and try to win a game (we can try win now that we are pretty much assured #1 draft pick).

I'd like to agree, but our team is just terrible.

St. Louis at home is dang near unstoppable unless you have a very balanced team that can score a ton and keep the Rams down. The 49ers have neither this year. I'd say the spread is about right since the previous 49ers/Rams game at SF was a 10 point victory. With the friendly turf and confines of the EJD, the Rams will most likely get way out in front early and then blitz every down. We might score in the high teens or low 20's, but I think the Rams will get at least 35 not to mention any field goals they will get.

Week 7: Miami 31, St. Louis 14. Not even WE lost to the 'Phins by that much. The Rams have lost their last 2 games by 20 (Bills) and 28 (Packers). St. Louis is either terrible or decent on any given day, we just have to hope for a terrible Ram showing, and a 2nd-half-of-4th-quarter-against-the-cardinals-type game from Rattay. Stopping them from scoring a lot is pretty much hopeless, we just have to somehow keep up.


I definitely agree that the Rams are much better at home. Much, much, much better. Ah well. Thanks for the sobering dose of reality, you saved me 4 days of hopeless optimism.
