Another BCS Mess.

Well, if you want more "excuses" why Auburn shouldn't be in the Orange Bowl, they just gave you another last night.

They narrowily beat the Hokies by three points, and Virginia Tech had in inside the 1 yard line with no points, and they missed a chip-shot field goal. The score of the USC-VT game? 24-13. Sure, it may *only* be an 8 point difference, but if Auburn was so much better than USC, then you'd think they would've had a more impressive outing against a team that USC beat by 2 scores.

Well for starters, VT was held scoreless through 3 quarters and only got points at the end in their 2 minute drills when Auburn was playing not to lose. And I wouldn't start the petty "if they could've made a short field goal" and whatnot arguement, because VT had the USC game just about put away before a bogus call saved USC's ass.

And you can't really compare VT now to VT at the start of the year. Didn't they start like 2-3 and hadn't lost since or something? It's like USC in Carson Palmer's last year. Two very different teams at the start and end of the year.

I think the biggest problem with the BCS is the stupid advertising. Nokia Sugar Bowl? FedEx Orange Bowl? What a crock.
