If at the beginning of the season, someone would have told me that I would make it to 13-1 with those to running backs as my starters, I would have passed out from laughing too hard
Well, they're my starters now ... and I'm 13-1 with a first-round bye. It's a funny game
Well, you have them now but they didn't get you to 13-1 donkey. Droughns didn't break out until week 5, and Jones has only played well since turkey day, week 12. Wow, 2 whole weeks!! (I know he played week 11, but 81 yards isn't a great game) They are nice pick ups, but you obviously won all those other weeks without them right??
BigMusky wrote:Tiki Barber actually went undrafted in my money league, so he would be the best pickup overall. He was gone after week 1 though. In most leagues though I would suspect Stokley would be near the top of that list.
some other top candidates would be
Driver, Pittman, Blaylock, Brees, Muhommed, Bettis... I dont count Jones because he was drafted in almost all leagues.
Barber was undrafted in my league as well and I picked him up after the draft.
Otherwise: Clayton, Stokley, Carr, Kevin Jones, Julius Jones.

Okay, that's just unacceptable.
I'd say Droughns and Brees were the best WW pickups in the majority of leagues this year. Stokely would be #3 since Muhammad was drafted (I hope) in at least 50% of leagues this year.
It is an eight team league, but it is still lame... I drafted
Holmes, Henry, Kevin Jones, Thomas Jones, and some another back. I really didnt think I needed another one at the time. It is funny because the teams that drafted three backs had them all stay healthy and produce most the year. I draft depth and it did me no good.
I drafted Gates as a late round sleeper pick during our draft in August... but it would appear that he was available on the wire in the vast majority of leagues ....
consequently, Antonio IMO...gets the nod for MVP wire pick
as far as my actual wire pick-ups ....(Griese, Hutchinson, Goings, Witten, Stokley and Clayton)...
Goings seems to have contributed the most...but not by much
