We'll have to wait and see how Palmer develops but watching him play and watching Ben play hes definately got a lot more "star" potential and I think hes got more "talent" but Ben looks like hes got the leadership, coolness, and presence that will make him a winner. Thats not to say that Palmer might not be a winner some day soon.

I concur. I think Palmer has more talent too.

I agree with most here. I think Palmer is going to be the better fantasy QB than Big Ben. Ben looks like he is going to be in a similiar mold to Brady.

no quarterback has ever done what Ben has done this season. not manning, marino, elway, montana, young, well nobody. and no quarterback has ever been rookie of the year.....yet.

i cant believe y'all say that palmer has better stats??

in passer rating, ben is 4th,palmer 27th(behind rattay, harrington, volek and yes collins)

palmer has more stats not better stats. his def isnt the steelers.

palmer has only 2 more td's than ben with almost twice as many pass attempts.

only about 700 more yard with about 200 more attempts(what's that3.5 per attempt?)

palmer has allot more int's

lol yeah palmer's better...lol

The difference so far this year between the two is that Palmer has been asked to win games where as ben has been asked not to lose games.

It really depends upon what you need at the QB position as to which one you would want on your team. I agree with the others that Palmer is a gun slinger in the manning mold where as Big Ben will be asked to make more conservative plays based upon the offense.

Palmer should emerge next year as a top 10 Fantasy QB and Ben will be in the 15-20 in terms of statistics.

Didn't that game winning drive against Jax for Rothelisberger seem too easy? The jags just brought the house every play and he threw it underneath to a wideopen reciever...good protection by the way. The QB does have to recognize the blitz and find the open reciever but it must be easier when u know its coming....very poor play calling imo on the part of the Jag defensive coordinator to throw that game away.

Although I admire the intangibles of Big Ben.....I'll take the world-class arm of Palmer.

WOAH WOAH WOAH!!!!!

Ben didnt just perform on the last drive where the Jags supposedly werent even on the field..... He went 14 for 17 and a passer rating of 158.00.........What more can a guy do. He had only 3 incompletions all night against a very good Jax defense. His 3 incompletions were:
#1 first pass of the game
#2 a ball that Mays flat out dropped (hit him right in the #s)
#3 he downed the ball to stop the clock at the end of the game

He also made several scrambles for good yardage and many times moved within the pocket to buy time to hit the open receiver.

Pittsburgh's system will not allow for a QB to throw 40 times a game. If any team has to throw that much they are in trouble. Just look at STL.

Both Ben and Palmer are going to be great qbs for a long time to come and are a big part of the next generation of NFL QBs. To date Ben has done something that NO QB has ever done. Thats is a fact. Palmer is a great talent but he has gone through the growing pains that most QBS go through. Lets also remember that Palmer had a season to sit and watch and learn the game and absorb the game. That year is a huge advantage. Ben has had to learn of the fly while missing a portion of camp and only getting third string qb work when he was in there. He was the 3rd QB going into Camp with Maddox and Batch ahead of him.......

Palmer=curse of the Heisman trophy

How many Heisman trophy winners had good NFL careers?

I'd argue they'll both have similiar careers, but I prefer Palmer in FF.

Palmer was arguably the #1 QB going in to the 2003 draft.
Ben was arguably the #1 QB going in to the 2004 draft.

I personally thought they were both in fact the #1 QBs going into their respective drafts, and I still do after seeing them and their counterparts in the NFL.
