Colts Offense: Best ever?

Postby goleafsgo96 » Sat Dec 11, 2004 12:12 pm

Obviously this offense is the best in the league. Is it the best of all time? When i think about the best offense, i think of the 2000 Rams, and the 1984 Dolphins. This is going to be a reserchless post, with the exception of a quick thing on the Indy offense i watched last nite on TV. I do know that the Indy offense is on pace to record the MOST POINTS of all time, the 3RD MOST YARDAGE of all time, and the MOST TOUCHDOWNS in one season. They are on pace for 75, the previous record is 70 by that 2000 rams O.

We'll know what the final numbers are gonna be by the end of the year, but do you guys (especially longtime football fans) think this offense is worthy of being called the best of all time? The way it functions, and above all, does it produce better than the others?

For the record, Harriosn Wayne and Stokely are all on pace for over 1100 receiving yards, and Edge is on pace for 1729 rushing with 11 tds.

only being 19 and having only watched football for 10 years, i think this is the best offense i have ever seen, the entire season has just been one big highlight reel. also the entire team is involved, not just 2 receivers, QB, and a RB. the colts have 3 top 15(12,13,14) WRs, a top 3 RB(only 14 yards behind leader), 2 quality TEs, a QB with a soon to be multiple record-breaking season, and they even have a decent back up RB. the enitre offense is either breaking records or is about to break records including harrison, wayne, and stokely who are on pace to become the first trio of WRs to get 10 TDs in a season.

Best offence I've ever seen was the Vikes the year that Cunningham won MVP.

I like the 2000 Rams offense. That offense seemed unstoppable.
Having said that, the Colts offense seems unstoppable as well.

The 1998 Vikings. They racked up the most points ever to date and posted a 15-1 regular season record.

I agree, but since the season isnt over and the Colts have three players on pace for over 1000 yards recieving, a back on pace for 1800 and a QB on pace for about 50+ touchdowns.

The Greatest Show on Turf was the best offense ever IMO. But if Indy's offense can over come their defense and when a ring. It'll be hard to argue against them.

The Colts are breaking records partly because of their soft-as-butter schedule. Give me the one of the Dolphins, 49'ers, or Cowboys dynasty teams over them anyday.
