i'm sorry. but just because springs got lit up does not mean he can sit on the field and act like he is hurt. he's a pussy. and i'm actually a springs fan.....
i've played many sports where people got concussions and they actually finish the game.
i don't know, maybe i'm in the minority......

That's just a stupid post.

They need to take every necessary precaution when dealing with an injury when a player is immobilized, no matter for how long. It's the training staff, not the player, who decides if the player should go back in the game. Who knows what kind of injury a person may have sustained from a hit like the one Springs took. He may feel fine but have serious injuries. They did the right thing. Concussions are no thing to fool around with. You get hit again in the same spot before your brain has healed and your ass is D E D.

The guy was nailed by a big ass fullback. What the hell do you expect? To shrug it off like a bug bite?

Yeah, I don't think being knocked unconscious is something you want to or can get up from right away. If you want to risk a major mental debilitation by doing so, you could try; but, I very seriously doubt any medical personnel nor your coach nor your family would allow you to do that.

Every time I see a huge hit like that one or the one Coles took, I wonder how some of them can even get up from it. If they don't, it's probably serious and should be treated that way (other than calling the player names).

So what? Because he is in the NFL he is just supposed to get up from a serious concussion and get right back into the play? I admit, as a Seahawk fan I was frustrated for years because it seemed like he was always injured, but you never rush back from any injury.

When I was a freshman in high school we had a guy in our provincial final actually get paralyzed because of the way a lineman fell on him. It took 45 minutes to get the guy off the field, and the fans were actually booing it took so long. It was disgraceful on the part of the fans, but the point is you take every precaution.
