Most Convoluted Scenario.

Alright, mine isn't too bad. I needed to win my matchup and another guy to lose his and not outscore me by more than about 40 points to make the playoffs. His game is pending the result of MNF, mine's done.

anyone here have a convoluted set of things that needed/need to happen for your to make the playoffs?

I'm in my first game in the playoffs, but here's an interesting (read: improbable) scenario...I'm up by a half point in my game in a salary cap dynasty league with one player remaining...Keith Bulluck. My opponent has Trent Green. Our league grants 4 pts per TD throw and a 3pt yardage break at 250 and 50 pts thereafter.

Bulluck has scored 7 or more pts 4 out of the last 6 weeks. So, if Bulluck posts 7 and Trent throws for 299 and 1 TD or 349 and ) TD's or another entirely possible scenario...Keith Bulluck will beat Trent Green and put me in the next round of the playoffs.

In the first round of the playoffs with a clearly superior team to the guy I'm playing, and I need 31pts out of Larry Johnson tonight to stay alive (had Portis in but after I saw I was down 31 after the 4:00 games I figured LJ would have a better shot of getting 31 than Portis).

Attributing factors: Droughns' benching, Gates 17 yards, Hicks putting up 21+ points against me.

Our playoffs our weeks 16 and 17 (YUCK!) and only one guy has clinched at 10-3. Coming into this week, 3 8-5 teams and 2 7-6, including me. Four teams make it, so I need 2 wins and some help...I've gotten the help as 3 teams ahead of me lost. A win next week and a loss by at least one of three teams next week puts me in the playoffs...lets see what happens!

A guy in my division needs the following scenario to occur for him to get a playoff berth:

He needs my game to end in a TIE with my opponent. If I win, I take the division championship, and he has not shot at a wildcard spot. If my opponent wins, the opponent takes the div champ.

If we tie, however, both my opponent and I finish 1/2 a game behind this guy in the div race, so he sneaks into the playoffs.

My game won't conclude until after MNF with 3 players active.

Here is a playoff scenario for you. This one will make your heads spin. Going into the last week of the season all of the teams in my division were in contention and i was playing one of the other scenarios. Our commish did a good job of coming up with all the possibilities.

Undertakers - will clinch the Central with a win AND a Fish Hawks loss AND maintaining scoring advantage over Sausages (+3); with a win AND a Fish Hawks win AND achieving a scoring advantage over Fish Hawks (-90). Will clinch a playoff spot with a win AND a loss by Storm OR Dragons; with a win AND maintaining scoring advantages over Storm (+5) AND Dragons (+34); with a win AND maintaining a scoring advantage over EITHER the Storm or Dragons AND achieving a scoring advantage over the Roosters (-103). These are all the possible scenarios. Needless to say i won the division but the fish hawks who i was playing also made the playoffs. (6 slots for 12 teams in 3 divisions.) See if anyone can beat that.
