QB dominated Playoffs

In my main league, no one with the big three made it. I think the reason why was due to poor draft strategy. Of course, having everything done by auto-draft doesn't help. The Manning owner got him with the very first pick and missed out of the playoffs by about 40 total points. The Culpepper owner took him 5th overall but didn't pay attention to his team for about half the year ( :-[ ). The McNabb guy had a decent team but had injuries to Heap and Staley and drafted very poorly in the WR department. He never could find the right guys to plug in, so he kept losing close games.

The top 4 slots were:
1. Brees (me)
2. Hass
3. Vick
4. Green

The difference was that these teams had much better balance at all positions due to the draft or great WW acquisitions. My team was pretty much totally restructured by the wire, while the team in 4th (who was the overall point champ and will probably end up beating me and win the whole thing) was through the draft alone.

Draft positions were 4th, 6th, 7th, and 9th... :-?

in one of my leagues, the top team had culpepper and the 2nd team had manning...

shockingly, they both lost this week (first round of playoffs)!

i'm still alive, and i used bledsoe this week.. i usually use griese, as i don't trust pennington.

in my other two leagues, i had bulger but now use leftwich... and i have trent green/leftwich..

having manning/culpepper doesn't guarantee you nothing.
Thanks to deluxe_247 for this awesome sig!

In my primary league playoffs start week 16. Myself and two other teams have clinched playoff berths. The guy with Manning has been eliminated, the guy with McNabb needs to win this week to get in and Culpeppers team clinched. I use a quarterback by committee approach and it has worked most weeks. I just traded for Drew Brees cuz he has sweet matchups coming up. (Cle, Indy, KC) My qbs all year have been Brady, Brooks and David Carr and I just picked up Collins and Brees and traded Brady.

These are the teams still in the hunt for one of the four playoff spots in our ten man league:

Already Clinched:
1 - McNabb
2 - Brady / Hasselbeck

In The Hunt:
3 - Griese / McNair / Volek / Collins - Me (I started the year with Pennington)
4 - A. Brooks
----------------------------------------
5 - Manning
6 - Culpepper

I just beat the guy with Manning to move into third (thank you B. Volek - your 39 pts brought me back from a 35 pt deficit). High end QBs did not dominate our league.
I am so smart. S-M-R-T

I agree, Manning and CPepp don't guarantee a thing - they just make life a lot easier :)

1) Brady/Brooks (Me - I rode Alexander, McGahee, and Dillon)
2) Manning/Favre
3)Culpepper/Pennington
4)McNabb/Plummer

MIKL results:

Seed #1)Pennington/Palmer
Seed #2)Manning
Seed #3)McNabb
Seed #4)Hasselbeck/Griese

Non Playoff-Teams

Seed #5)Trent Green (my backup was Big Ben but I never used him)
Seed #6)Bulger/Testaverde
Seed #7)Delhomme/Bledsoe
Seed #8)Culpepper/Garcia
Seed #9)Brooks
Seed #10)Brady/Leftwich
Seed #11)Fahvray/Plummer/Brees
Seed #12)Vick/Harrington

I wonder how Trent Green teams are doing this year, definitely the most underrated fantasy QB every year.
