Tatum Bell may play next week @KC after all (link)

Per rotoworld:

Tatum Bell has a shot at playing this week, according to coach Mike Shanahan.
"We're not sure if he's going to be slowed... He might be full speed, ready to go. If he can take the pain, he can play... We'll get a chance to see how tough he is." Shanahan went on to say that Reuben Droughns is still the No. 1 running back and they are only hoping that Bell can still contribute. Dec. 13 - 3:48 pm et

Personally, as a Droughs owner who was drolling at the prospects of Droughs alone in the back field against KC's crappy defense, this sucks ass. Shannan really is an evil bastard.

Hmmm two banged up RBs and Shanny wants to run the ball 30x. Time to run to the WW for Cecil Sapp, although week 15 is kinda late to be taking chances on RBs.

It'd be great if there was truth to Shanny's statement...I'm playing against Droughns this week.
Maybe the owner will get scared and bench him.

I bet Shanahan's playing against a Droughns owner next week in fantasy football.

Yeah, how does a guy go from likely season-ending 3rd degree shoulder separation to "he might play this week"? Is this more posturing from a coach known for posturing?

Personally, I don't see how the heck the guy could do anything after one or two good shots to his shoulder. And I'm darned-tootin' starting Droughns this week.

:-°

whatever shanahan is smoking, I want some of that...

seriously, though. He would have to be heavily medicated, carry the ball ONLY in his good arm and he would probably be next to useless when it comes to blocking... that adds up to BENCH.

I have Droughns, C. Brown and Staley. With that 400 lb touchdown vulture Bettis robbing Staley every week, I have little choice but to hope that Shanny is blowing smoke.
