I've mentioned this in a couple other threads, so excuse me if you've heard this one.....but, Fisher hinted at this in an interview 3 or 4 weeks ago when the McNair retirement talk first surfaced. McNair has had, I think, three straight brutal rehab off-seasons. The retirement decision could be pushed along quickly if he has to undergo another rough off-season. Fisher is of the mind that if McNair gets any more banged up than he already is, he could be facing just that and decide to hang it up. So, I think that Fisher, for weeks, has really had no intention, whatsoever, of playing McNair again in this losing campaign and risking further injury. Steve doesn't like that kind of talk because he's dying to get out there, especially when the team loses without him. But, I'm convinced it will be Volek from here on this season.

Beware of Volek--the Titans O Line is a shipwreck! Hartwig-C, is
probably out this week, F Miller is playing on a bum ankle and
would sit if they had anyone to replace him. It's unfreaking
believable how beat up the Titans are on both sides of the ball.
They wanted to put E Kinney at RT to replace Miller, but he was
hurt too. Fisher joked after the game and said he told Dinger to
punt on first and 10 late in the game.

i'd hate to break into FF strategy, but does Brown being out mean better throwing for Volek this week?

Yea but even under presure Volek looked so good. He did not hesitate ever and if they blitz him he is not afaird to throw it up deep to bennet I hope he plays rest of season. However he faces the Bronces in week 16 my championship week.
