Yes, I think that Desmond Clark could be a good fantasy TE p/u in the later rounds. He could very easily be the #2 target for Kordell Stewart (and Rex Grossman once Dick Jauron gets tired of Stewart's inconsistencies), right behind Marty Booker. The Bears haven't had a legitimate pass-catching TE since Jauron has held the reins and it wouldn't be a far stretch to think that Clark could put up numbers comparable (if not better) than he did two years ago in Denver: 51/566/6.
Winning truely IS everything.

He could be a good late round pick. I have him #12 on my list of TE's right now, but he could make some noise this year.

From Sporting News:
No player has the Bears more excited than Clark, an offseason pickup from Miami who was limited by injury and caught just two passes last season. Clark is expected to have a profound impact on the Bears' offense -- so much so that the team believes he is capable of more than 51 catches, his career high of two years ago. The Bears even will tailor a good portion of their offense to Clark. Green Bay vice president of personnel Mark Hatley says he thought the Clark signing was one of the best by any team in free agency. (Dan Pompei/TSN)

Fantasy Spin: We thought Clark was sleeper material going into camp. Now we know it.

Sounds like a potential starter at the price of a backup.
