Here is how I have my rankings for the top ten defenses......

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2. Baltimore Ravens
3. Miami Dolphins
4. Philadelphia Eagles
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
6. Carolina Panthers
7. Atlanta Falcons
8. New England Patriots
9. Green Bay Packers
10. Buffalo Bills

does that look about right?
who am I missing?
who am I over-rating?

i think you give Philadelphia too much credit. maybe put Carolina in below Pittsburgh and put Philadelphia below Carolina. Move Green Bay ahead of Atlanta. i don't know where you get Buffalo and New England from, unless you are projecting what they might do this year. in any case, you could probably put Washington and Denver someplace on that list.

that's exactly what I am doing.

As for New England, there is some hometown bias there, but they really have made great strides in the defense.

Newcomers Roosevelt Colvin, Rodney Harrison, and Ty Warren will greatly improve a unit that was mediocre at best last year.

All the young guys have looked GREAT in camp and in the first preseason game, including corners Wilson and Samuels, as well as DT Dan Klecko.

I think New England will break the top ten in defenses this year.

Buffalo has also made some nice acquisitions on the defensive side of the ball, the best of which being Takeo Spikes.

I like your rankings for the most part. I am glad to see people are waking up to BAL. They are gonna be nasty. I also think you have PHI in the wrong place. I would put them below PIT and CAR. Other than that, I agree that the Pats are gonna be much better on D this yr, Rod Harrison is a stud.
