How dopey is this?

I plan to drop Josh Brown for Rian Lindell, based on the # of scoring opportunities the Bills have had lately and because Seattle has been terrible lately. I went to the league site to look up Lindell's stats and any comments on him and this is what came up:

Rian Lindell kicked four field goals (23,39,21,33) in Week 15 at Cincinnati. He also added three extra points.

FANTASY ANALYSIS
Nice game for Lindell but the Bills don't score enough for him to have much Fantasy value. The Bills travel to San Francisco in Week 16.

They don't score enough?

Then I looked up the Bills point totals and saw that they have scored 330 points this year (23.5 ppg) and are currently ranked 8th in the league (only 28 points less than the Vikings). In their past 7 games dating back to the end of October, they scored 37, 42, 38, 37, 6, 22 and 38 points. In that span they averaged 31.4 ppg.

How are they not scoring enough? What do they need to do; score 60 ppg?

Just for fun, I'm going to run down ppg for the past 7 weeks for some of the more prolific offenses in recent weeks. (Slow night, I guess);)

Here it is. Kinda nutty this research was inspired by a kicker, but as a Bills fan, I was curious anyhow.

Here are the ppg of the 7 teams scoring more than the Bills for the season over the past 7 weeks (the Pats have only the last six pending tomorrow night's game).

Colts- 38.7 ppg
Vikings- 26.5 ppg
Chiefs- 39.1 ppg (surprisingly more than the Colts)
Chargers- 30.5 ppg
Packers- 24.7 ppg.
Pats- 32.8 ppg
Eagles- 26.1 ppg

Among the 7 who have outscored the Bills this year, only 3 have scored more in the past 7 weeks than the Bills (this does not inlcude other teams w/ impressive recent point outputs like Tennessee, Tampa or Oakland. I'm not THAT bored).

Now, you tell me: Do the Bills score enough to take a shot at their kicker?

i'm not a bills fan, but it would be pretty sweet if they knocked off pittsburgh in week 17.

I use Sportsline too and half their comments are moronic. If you read through enough posts you'll see that their "pick of the week" is usually the kiss of death.

So I have found out. One week, a guy won't be worth a roster spot and the next he is worth owning in all leagues after a decent week. Guess it depends on who writes up these comments. I consider their advice and comments, but a saavy owner won't lean on them too heavily.
