Garner injury update?

Postby drunkenmonkey » Thu Aug 14, 2003 11:13 pm

Just had a draft where I got Garner as my second running back. Afterwards, one of the other owners asked if I knew about his knee injury. What the hell is he talking about? I never heard anything about it and don't see any previous posts about it here. Does anyone know is this is serious or minor? I can only carry four running backs and have no room for a lame duck on the bench. 8-o

Sounds like he just tried to 'plant a seed' in your mind about Garner's health.

Has he offerred to 'take him off your hands' yet? After I grabbed Boston and Eddie George, I heard a couple of comments like 'he's hurt' and 'he's done'.

Who did I have trade offers for in the morning? Boston and George. How nice of them to try to take my crappy, injured players away from me!

Garner just has a minor knee boo-boo, he was kept out of the dumb preseason game as a precaution. I wouldn't worry.

I hadn't heard anything about this at all. My guess is Garner will be kept out of most of the preseason. He might play a few series in the last game to get a feel, but I'm guessing he'll be fine for the regular season.

Yes Garner is not hurt bad. BTW - Justin Farges sure did look good in that preseason game. He played the 2nd half and rushed for over 120+ yards and a td. He was quick, powerful and fast. Looked real good with his potential. I know it's just preseason. And I know his bad injury history. But I can't help but wonder.

after watching fargas, i think that garner's knee probably feels a lot better today.

that guy looked real good. granted, it was against second teamers, but i think he will be a solid player if he can stay healthy.
