TO's stock dropping because of Garcia's back?

Spinning off from another thread here, what does everyone think about TO dropping because of Garcia's injury?

Of course, it all depends how the preseason plays out (and luckily I don't draft until it's over), but let's--for the sake of argument--assume Garcia's back is still an issue come September.

How far do you drop TO on your boards, if at all?

I think I'd drop him behind Marvin, Moss and Moulds. Am I crazy?

and i wouldnt send you to the nuthouse if you were to drop him a few more places. nothin on T.O... it just looks like a bad situation brewing in san fran.

So I should probably shop Tai Streets now while he's still looking decent. That really throughs a wrench in my team.

He will be leaned on more heavily if Garcia is not in there...glass is half full not half empty.

Owens would probably slip a few spots in my combined draft list, but he'd still be #2 on my WR list. No offence to Garcia, he's a good QB, but there's probably 10+ QBs in the NFL that would be pro-bowlers if they played for the 49'ers. Rattay looked great last year against the Rams (but then again, who didn't).

That said, my gut tells me Garcia will be ready for the opener. He's been very durable throughout his career.

I think Garcia's back is going to be a recurring problem all year being in and out of games all the time until maybe they realize its better to call it a year and have surgery. He's tough but San Fran's O-line is already beat up to start the year. Tai Streets couldn't take the pressure off a turniquet if he untied the knot so I see Owens being mobbed this year. He's so talented that he shouldn't drop out of top 5 but it might just be an average year for him. I might bump him down a few spots in my overall draft but not in the WR class.

Anyone who has a disk problem with their back can tell you it's hard to maintence.

The bottom line is NEW crappy coach + NEW crappy O-system + Garcia's back issues =

it may be ok in SF...but if it gets bad, it's gonna be REAL bad.

Garcia has had 3 epidural treatments this x-season, that’s not good. I will be staying away from Garcia but I wonder if maybe TO won’t be asked to take on more of a role. Does anyone know will TO bring it, or will he sulk and be renamed into BO?
