Lovie Smith will get them playing well again and he will be a head coach someday in the NFL. Also, it's the reason I picked Hasselbeck over some of the other QB's. Hell, he plays the Cardinals in Week 16 our Super Bowl week. That will be a lopsided game. The Cards always role over.
however, it doesn't matter who Hasselbeck plays in Week 16 if your season is over
I thinks it's funny how a "guest" wants to come on this post and try to dish you. Like they know you or your team. When I mentioned Hasselbeck it's b/c he is now my backup. NOT starter, I leave that job to Mr. Michael Vick. The fact is that Vick and the Falcons play Tampa Bay in week 16 and Hasselbeck plays Arizona. So WHEN I DO make the playoffs I will be ready. Word to the "guest", don't go assuming anything.
Fact is that a true FF guru does take a look at the final games. You don't base all of your picks by it, you just use the knowledge to fine tune your rankings.
Just talk football and try to add to the conversation unstead of trying to feed your own ego. Word out.
Saw someone commenting on Portis earlier, and I just want to add this opinion:
I agree that strength of playoff schedule isnt that important, but there are a few things to note. This is one on Portis. Playin in GB in December isnt easy, and for my first rd RB, yeah, that matchup would concern me a bit - especially since it falls on my championship date. I still love Portis, but that is something to be concerned about.
Thanks Cornbread. That is scary in GB, but I still think I'm going with him if LT and Ricky are gone. I'm too scared of Holmes and Faulk. I think. Damn.
yeah, bread, you're right. i'd be a little concerned about that game in GB. however, back in '97, i started Stl QB tony banks over drew bledsoe in our semi-finals b/c the rams were playing the bears. i cant remember who the pats were playing but i assume it was a tough matchup. and the bears were trash that year.
anyways, banks scored me a tony-esque 3 pts while bledsoe notched 20 on my bench. and i ended up losing by 5 or 6, giving me an opportunity to battle for yet another 3rd place finish. so assuming he's one of my horses, i would still play clinton against GB w/ confidence.
and i realize i'm rambling, but i just needed to get this off my chest. it's been eating at me for about half a decade.
