ASU is pretty good. Having 2 teams in the top 5 and another in the top 25 is also pretty good. It's just the rest of the PAC-10 that sucks. Really sucks.

Texas beat Tech, what, 51-21

If that doesn't justify the fact that Texas should be and is in a BCS bowl over Cal, I don't know what would.

Cal beat ASU 27-0. (+27)
ASU beat Iowa 44-7. (+37)
Iowa beat Iowa State 17-10. (+7)
Iowa state beat Kansas 13-7. (+6)
Kansas lost to Texas 27-23. (-4)


Cal would beat Texas by 73, QED.

Well there certainly won't be 2 teams in the top 5 any longer, they'll be lucky if Cal stays in the top 10. ASU doesn't look any good to me either. They won their bowl game, but it was a slim win against a Purdue team that is just downright awful. They're what, 2-5 in their last 7?

Andrew Walter (ASU's starting QB) was injured. 5 of Purdue's last 7 games were against ranked opponents. Purdue beat Ohio State, and lost to Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa by a combined score of only 7 points. They're not downright awful, they're a good team in a tough conference.
