My main draft info site nfldraftcountdown.com has said that he is flying up draft boards and is a potential top 10 pick. I hadn't seen much of him but he looked really good in the Fiesta Bowl and this guy is always on the pulse of the NFL Draft. I had him pegged as a late first/early second guy so this would be a colossal rise comparable to the one Philip Rivers made last year.

I saw in a chat that Mel Kiper did today on ESPN.com that he projected Smith would rise into the top 10. Truthfully I was stunned but it does seem that he's rising up the charts.

Wright now has Smith rated on par with Rodger and Leinart and says that Smith is drawing rave reviews from every scout he talks to. I have him as the 3rd QB right now, but Wright is the franchise when it comes to the draft.

Smith looks to be slotted at #2 right now... under Rodgers, of course. I'm seen him as #1 on a lot of boards, though.

Most of the mocks I have seen have him slotted at #3 pick, for the Browns.

It would be great for the Browns to get such a great franchise QB to build around, but number three seems kind of high. It is possible that the QB needy teams like Cleveland or maybe Arizona will trade down to get Smith.
