I spose I dig what your saying, but their season was over at that point anyways.

It's been a week now....and I've had a chance to soak all this in.
Read through all the thread ....seen a variety of commentaries in a variety of media formats....
my conclusion ??
this is exactly what we all want
Let's face it ....we all love controversy....we all love to have someone to hate
This is exactly why the NFL will not levy "serious" fines or suspensions for this type of behavior....because they know good and well....that having a few "nuts" and "flakes" mixed in with their "Wheaties" type product is percisely what sells the best.
like a majority of you....my initial reaction to Moss, Buck, Owens, Plummer's finger....ect ect .......was negative....
...but when I step back....and reflect....I must ask myself ...."do I really want a league where every single player, coach and team...behaves strictly and utterly professional" ?
probably not....
we all need something more to bitch about besides simple coaching/management decisions and player production

Not only That SINMAN, but we live vicariously through those players that moon the crowd, stomp on the opposing teams insignia and be the bad boy and then pay a $5000 fine out of our change purse.
After wading through all of this week's commentary on the matter, I was only left to scratch my head. If everyone of these "pundits" is so offended by these antics, why give them airtime? Why continue to talk about it?
Sin hit the nail on the head, it's about controversy and in TV/Radio controversy=HUGE ratings. It ain't going to change anytime soon.
I like simple pleasures, like butter in my ass, lollipops in my mouth. That's just me.
At first, I considered Randy Moss' end zone pseudo-moon a pretty harmless prank that the media amplified into ridiculous proportions.
Sure, Moss is a moron, but what harm did he really do? This, during a telecast sponsored by beer, Cialis and The Splatter Movie of the Week? How bad can it be?
I thought that until I realized that in many parts of the country, if some kid decides to repeat it in the schoolyard or high school football field, he's guilty of "dissing" and may well get a bullet in the brain.
