Is it possible?

Well there's about 13 minutes left in the last quarter. And it's looking pretty grim for the Vikes. But I'm wondering when they're going to unleash that powerful arm of Culpepper's. I mean where's the long ball. The Eagles aren't giving much time on each play, but where's the play action? And I wish they'd just give up on those screens. As a Lions fan, I know those damn things usually never work.

What should the Vikes be doing? And can they come back?

Here's my guess.

Culpepper's long arm throws normally go to Randy Moss. His ankle is obviously hindering him a ton, and he's not able to go down the field fast enough nor jump high enough to get those chunk-balls. They could try it with Robinson, but they just had an open long bomb pass knocked away by Lito Sheppard - very good play.

well, they have to go for it on every 4th down... not punt like they just did... they need 3 scores ... i they score two tds that gives the eagles 3 drives... average of 4 minutes per drive would end the game... the way the eagles have been playing that shouldn't be difficult...

it won't happen cuz tice doesn't know how to coach...

Well Culpepper has been throwing it deep but he has to start throwing it deep to the open man. He keeps bombing them long to a double covered Moss when Burleson and/or Robinson are open. And they need to get Wiggins more involved. But no their chances of coming back are slim.

From watching the vikings during the season, C-Pep should be throwing to Burleson. He can run and is capable of catching the long ball.

there really isn't anything noticeable about moss' ankle... surprisingly... but i agree, he needs to spread the love to the open guys...

Yeah, I'm starting to get a little "iffy" about the Vikes making it back in this one. Oh well, I was hoping the Eagles would make it anyway. So, if it is ATL vs. PHI, we'll have to see how good of a game that will be.

And this will probably be a dumb question, but out of ATL and PHI who gets the home field advantage?

Doesn't look very good. They're burning a lot of time with these short pass routes.
