what actually should happen is that on the off sunday the national chmapionship for the college game should be contested. but that will never happen.

Yeah I would like to see that happen I like the idea of having a defiante 1 2 3 and 4th place.

What about 5-12? The college title game would be interesting since it's all about money too...

A consolation game would be like a morphining of exhibition and ProBowl games. Not exactly must see TV. They need to just do away with the hype week.

The only time in that past 10 years I can remember there not being an in-between week was 2001 (well, 2002 actually). That was because they didn't play a week of games due to the September 11 tragedy. So, they had to do the Super Bowl right after the championship games because they weren't going to move the Super Bowl back and mess up all the planning.
