A consolation game would be like a morphining of exhibition and ProBowl games. Not exactly must see TV. They need to just do away with the hype week.

There isn't an "in between" week every year

The only time in that past 10 years I can remember there not being an in-between week was 2001 (well, 2002 actually). That was because they didn't play a week of games due to the September 11 tragedy. So, they had to do the Super Bowl right after the championship games because they weren't going to move the Super Bowl back and mess up all the planning.

I think everyone should just get a month off and then a new season starting in March.
