How mocks change so fast...

Postby PackerAttack84 » Tue Jan 18, 2005 10:56 pm

You ever notice how NFL Mock drafts change so quickly. The other week I was looking at one and they had the Packers selecting Alex Smith - QB, UTAH with the 24th pick. One I just viewed had him going at #4 to the Cleveland Browns.

While what you are saying about draft boards changing, it isnt good to use two different sites as an example. Their opinions differ from each other. Some sites feel a team really needs this, or that Derrick Johnson has to go in the top 10, while others dont. So, while mocks do change over time, that doesnt mean 2 mocks from 2 diffrent sites published at the same time will be the same.

Yeah, but that's a 20 spot disagreeance. Those numbers are way off eachother.

Just to add to it, Kiper has Alex Smith #1 to SF. So he has risen all the way. Opinions will certainly vary but I can't see a 20+ pick variance on a "top" QB. But it is possible.

I saw that...I think Alex Smith could be great, but I don't think I vault him right past Rodgers just like that.

Yeah I'm really looking forward to how this draft will pan out. I could see Smith going in the top 5 or 10 but I'd be surprised. Hmm it's a bit chilly, I feel a draft coming on. Time to break out my Deuce jersey and hope we can improve our defense.
