The Jets keeping Brien makes about as much sense to me as the Saints keeping Haslett.

Man the fact that Herman Edwards is probably going to keep Brien just further shows his unaggressiveness. If Herm had any balls at all he'd cut Brien right now. Or at least trade him or something.

I wouldn't cut him just because he missed 2 FG's even though the situation was important. He has been a good help to the team this year, and I think Herm did the right thing my keeping him, even though he has no balls. :-b

Or he could have just sold him on ebay :-b

Sorry fellas I don't know who you think they could trade Brien for right now. I don't think he'd be worth much more than a used bag of balls (for you golfers out there).

But, I would look in the mirror and around the team before you did that. Just be sure he ALONE cost you the game. I know he missed two critical kicks.

Don't mistake this for me siding with Brien. But you don't want to be viewed as overreacting and cutting a kicker for plays your team didn't make over the course of a divisional playoff game.

If he deserves to be the scapegoat, great. Hang him out to dry. But if there were other costly errors...

I think Brien should be cut after all is said and done. He didn't just miss one try. He missed two.
