Moulds or Plaxico

Postby Guest » Sat Aug 16, 2003 4:39 pm

I know all of the mock drafts and rankings have Moulds higher than Plaxico, but does anyone here think Burress is better. He's so big, I think he'll be a monster in the red zone for 12+ TDs this year. Famous Amos isn't that big on the goal line and Bettis won't hold up. Price is gone so defenses'll focus on Moulds. Basically, I'm trying to psyche myself into taking Burress first. Anyone agree?

personally id go with moulds because we know what he can do, but taking burress over moulds isnt by any means bad. burress probably has more upside, but moulds has consistency. who knows, burress could be the next TO. take what your instinct is, or else go through the whole season wishing you had.

both r good options but with buress losing catches to ward (not enough to drop him outve top 5 though) moulds will have a better year.. bledsoe did throw for 4300 yds last year so that should help moulds out.

Ward is the #1 guy in Pitt, not Burress

Moulds is automatic, and he has noone taking away catches. The lose of Price will only help Mould's #'s go up.

My choice = Moulds

Exactly!!!!

I watched a lot of Pittsburgh last year and Ward and Maddox just click. Plus, he's definatley Maddox's go-to guy in the red-zone.
Ironically, I have both Moulds and Ward... best 1, 2 combo in my league.

Moulds by a small margin. I say this because Henry is the bigger threat at rb than either zereoue/bettis. having a dominant receiver on the other side helps burress/ward in that one or the other will be free on routes. but by having an average running game (until proved otherwise), pitt will deal with only seven in the box from opposing defenses, leaving safety help for the secondary. Moulds has Henry who will definitely command eight in the box and he has Reed, who while not up to Price's caliber just yet, will soon start holding his own.

I just wanted to quote to see how many nested quotes we could get...
Seriously though, Moulds' numbers will be helped by Price's exit, but will be hurt by the focus shifting towards Henry. However, the major point is that Moulds is the go-to guy in Buffalo. Go with Moulds.
