As long as the thread for Friday Night Lights was up I just thought I'd bring up this movie. It's not a football movie like FNL, but it's a great sports movie, probably the best basketball movie I've ever seen.

Its looks cliche' and everything to me but hey, as long as its entertaining then will check it out. Plus, Samuel L. Jackson is an amazing actor so that alone is worth the price of admission

Yes, just like FNL. There is some minor stuff that is added, but for the most part I believe everything else is true.

It was pretty solid, no "He Got Game" quality though. Also I've heard great things about "Hoop Dreams" and "Rebound"

Yeah, I've heard it's really good, but it was before my time, I am only a young teenager.

Yeah, Hoosiers was OK, I guess...

"Hoop Dreams" was a really good documentary. Followed two d00ds for five years who aspired to be basketball stars - through high school and their first year of college, methinks. Definitely worth checking out.

For some reason, I still haven't checked out "Rebound"... gotta do that sometime.
