I always have a hard time listening to CBS games because of this guy.

You're not alone, Pheel sux. His voice is too nasal and he doesn't think on his feet well. He always has a prepared topic that he will talk about, and he won't throw it out when it doesn't apply. Fictional example: "Mike Vick has worked very hard on improving his accuracy" after watching him throw it around like it was a bowling ball. When what he says relates to what is happening on the field it is merely coincendental.

I agree 100 percent Mooch. He's obnoxious. I didn't like how he defended Cowher when he kicked the field goal. It was still two scores--a TD, a field goal, then a two-point conversion. They should have gone for the TD, and Sims is defending him like crazy. Bad call.

Right, and not only was that a poor choice that Pheel defended, I don't recall Pheel saying anything about the mistake it was to go for it on 4th down on the play where the Bus saw stopped. Try a long FG or a punt, but to run a play on 4th down that the Pats had been stuffing consistantly was a terrible call. Brady's TD pass on the next play was only justice.

Simms is horrible. I would have never been happy to see him retire had I known I'd be bludgeoned over the head from his commentary every Sunday.

Great choice of words, aww. Whenever I think of Pheel the thought 'bludgeoned over the head' seems to leap to the front of my brain.

I must say, though, the ESPN announcers are worse.

I don't know how much I'd pay for on the field audio during games (players, sidelines, coaches) but if it were available on Directv Sunday Ticket, i'd probably pay a truck load.
