Chad.

How'd that happen? That's a bad sign for the Eagles.

He came up gimpy on that TD pass where he just got a toe in...didn't realize it at the time, but something broke.

What did he break? I imagine he can't play. Who is the backup? Is he any good? What's your assessment on the impact?

Actually Lewis is the backup. L.J. Smith is the main TE...I think :-?

All I've heard is broken foot. Don't know how much more specific that will become, but I'm sure it's enough to keep him out. The backup is LJ Smith, who plays a lot. Smith isn't the block that Chad is, but he is more athletic and can stretch the field. I don't trust him with the ball (always seems like it's ready to pop out!), but we shouldn't really struggle without Lewis. The offensive line has blocked well without much TE help, so I'm not too heartbroken over the loss.

Obviously, I'd prefer two good healthy TEs, but this shouldn't affect us too much.

LJ will be soon enough, but Chad is still technically #1. They both get a lot of playing time, so there isn't too much of a difference between #1 and #2.

Hmm...ESPN said it's unlikely, while Andy is confident he will play. I expect him to be out there, but perhaps my hopefulness is clouding my realism. I think we'll know for sure later in the week, but my guess is that he won't miss this game.

Earlier this week, he was running medium-length passes and running for 10 yards after the catch at near-full speed, so I'm not totally sure how close to 100% he is, but it seems like a good sign.
