After the game Burress said that he is done playing for the Steelers and will test the FA market. Gee I wonder where this Poor Mans version of Moss" will go.
I guess having a 15-1 record isn't enough for him...
I know he wants to be a bigger playmaker, but what if he goes to a team and turns out like Peerless Price? It won't matter that he's "the man;" he'll be no closer to a title. Of course, he'll have more money, and I suppose that's what he wants as well.
Oh well, more power to him if he turns another team into a contender, but I doubt it's going to happen.

Maybe he will end up in Kansas City as another WR castoff to go along with Morton and Kennison. Two other WR's that think they are much better than they actually are.
Seriously, KC wouldn't be a bad place for him. Perhaps he ends up in Atlanta. Watch Philly sign him as a #2 behind Owens. Perhaps. Minnesota may make a run at him, if they are going to trade Moss.

Should be interesting.
KC would be a great place for him...they already have a good offense, so his contribution would essentially be nothing to them. He'd get his money and his catches, but it won't help them win any more games. It's the defense they have a problem with.
But, seeing as though they "shored" up the defense last year and it got them a losing record, I'm sure he'll make them a 15-1 team next year.

hehe, I would love if Philly cut Pinkston and signed Burress. Though Philly has enough of their own guys to resign, I think some other team will make a better offer.
If the Chiefs still haven't learned they need to invest at least 10% of their bankroll on defense, they'll go after him. Atlanta could, as well as Washington. Even the Giants might be considering him (they need talent and youth at WR). Chicago wouldn't be a bad place for him either.
KC would be a great fit and they just might do it and stick to D in the draft for the most part. New ownership in Minny ought to think about him too if Moss leaves so they'll have a better deep threat than MRob so that Burleson can be as productive as many believe he will be. If Nate is forced to be #1 then he will not be as good as many people think. Anyway, the Jets are a possiblity too for sure if they don't get Moss.

You know what really impressed me about him? When he caught that late TD pass, he just dropped the ball. Not even a smile. Barely a celebration. Many other receivers--hello, TO, Randy--would have celebrated their personal accomplishment despite their team losing.
That was classy.
Anyway, I imagine he could go back to Pitt--isn't he Ben's favorite target?

I actually am a big fan of Burress. Despite the numbers he actually had a very good year this season. He put up good numbers in all of the games he started with Ben (and didn't get injured). I think he is a very talented WR and that he will be a big-time player somewhere else next year.
BTW, what makes you think Pitt won't resign him?
