i didnt see it but i read about it in the paper today. didnt it have to do with bettis retiring also? it said something like ward really thought bettis deserved to go to the superbowl before he retired. just shows you what an unselfish and caring guy ward is. props to him. I wish more atheletes cared about more than themselves.

It just shows you what an emotional game this can be. Ward himself is a greatly unselfish player with tons of talent that deserves to make it to a Superbowl one day. Bettis retiring without a ring is akin to Marino.

If Philly had lost the NFC championship I would really have been pulling for these guys. How can you not like the truest of all blue-collar teams with not just great talent, but great sportsmen like Ward, Bettis, and Staley, hell, even Roethlisberger so far has been a class act.
