James wants to go home

I think that Edge leaving the Colts would be great fantasy wise. I would rather see him in a Dolphins uni than a Colts. I think he could post some huge numbers even behind the Phins line. Although im sure that the Colts will fanchise him.

News
Running back Edgerrin James, an unrestricted free agent, has reportedly told several friends he wants to play for the Dolphins next season, according to a report on ESPN. James lives and trains in South Florida in the offseason and attended the University of Miami. The Colts have said they intend to keep James in Indianapolis, even if it means using the franchise tag and eating about $6 million in cap space.

New Dolphins coach spent a great deal of time during the Senior Bowl with Cadillac Williams, but if the Colts for some reason opt not to franchise Edge and the Dolphins could get him without forfeiting picks, you'd have to think they'd be a major player in the race to acquire his services.

I cant see Edge being great in MIA until that line is fixed. He still would be good, but his production would definitely take a hit. I dont see him leaving Indy though, they worked everyone elses contracts to make sure they had the money to retain his services.

I think the odds are still pretty good that he leaves but he may just be posturing for more money. I just think the Colts have to figure they can't tie up too much money in 3 offensive players unless they all will continue to re-structure their contracts thru the years to free up money for that other side of the ball.

IMO, Edge just wants to leave because of all the fame Peyton has got. With Peyton throwing 4 TD passes per game, he's barely remembered on the field. If he ends up on the dolphins, he'll get a whole lot more action.

There were rumors of Edge leaving long before this season began, I doubt he is wanting out of Indy just because Manning had a great year. I'm with Flux here, even if he doesn't head the show on the Colts' offense he has more fantasy value there then behind the makeshift Dolphins' line.

Edge is and always has been for the money. And he's not shy about that at all. Whoever gives him the best contract is who Edge will play for preferences aside. Colt's are either going to have to pony up bigtime to retain Edge or more likely place the franchise tag on him.

Well if the Dolphins do happen to get Edge Id say they for sure move down in the draft and try to pick up some quality offensive lineman.

I wonder if the colts will try to re-sign him. They can't keep everyone there forever on that offense. James has been saying for a long time now that he likes playing on the colts but he doesn't like indianapolis. I think he said he doesn't know anyone and theres nothing to do there.

Fantasy wise I wish James would stay in Indy. People cant say that Indy runs down his numbers to much he was in contention for the rushing title. Its just his td totals that are hampered.
