Gotta sign Hovan, Clairborne, Newman, and Russel..plenty of cap room though so it shouldnt be a problem.

Hovan had a horrible year in 2004 and was inactive for a number of games down the stretch. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't see the Vikings re-signing him.

Agreed and I'll take it one step further. There is no way the Vikes re-sign Hovan.

The only one out of that list I think we should re-sign is Claiborne. Newman was pretty much a spot-filler, Hovan isn't happy, and Russell really isn't that good.

The priorities are Claiborne and Wiggens, and I'd like to keep Frerotte, Campbell, Offord, and Dixon. The rest I think we can let go.

But if we can't get a CB, we will have to keep Williams. But I guess he wouldn't make a bad nickel CB.

Campell, Offord, Williams, and Frerotte need to get resigned.

Campbell: This signing is HUGE if Moss is traded. If Moss stays put, he is expendable and may ask for too much money.

Offord: The man is unbelievably inexpensive and still has the potential to be a decent backup. He will never start, but the price is definitely right.

Williams: He has been in the NFL for what, two years? Give the kid some slack? No way do I not resign him to a nice 3-4 year contract.

Frerotte: Old, reliable backup that has taught Culpepper more about the game than the overrated Scott Linehan.

Wiggins will ask too much and will only play in 2 TE sets. If Wiggins is realistic with his asking price, he will be resigned.

Also, if I remember right Tice had a sit-down with Hovan about his lack of effort at some point during the season. I agree the Vikes won't sign him unless it's on the cheap.
