College Hoopster Hits 90 Ft. Shot...

Postby Dr. Duran Duran » Wed Feb 02, 2005 7:19 pm

Check this out...

Apparently a player from Guilford College hit a full court, 90 foot shot, with 0.6 seconds on the clock to win a NCAA game in overtime. Unreal. Maybe someone can link a video to this thread.

Thanks for the video link...that is absolutely insane! Did you see the curve the dude put on the ball? It was like throwing a discus with a total swish! 8-o ;-D

All I can say is that dude deserves some action. :-)

The other team must have been totally deflated right after it happened, but I think the more they think about it they have to say, "Wow, what an unbelievable shot."

I also just thought about the court...how lucky was it that the court didn't have stuff hanging up in the middle, lights, girders, or anything that could have impeded that shot actually getting to the basket. Most places I go to have something in the way so you can't try a super-long shot like that.

I saw this on the Basketball Cafe. Un-freaking-believable. 8-o 8-o

It's a shame there was almost no one around to see it, luckily they got it on camera.

Wow major kudos for not only the strength but accuracy. In one of our HS games I shot a 70 footer and skimmed the bottom of the net and thought I did pretty darn good. 8-o

That was sweet, something that he can tell his grandkids and he wont have to exaggerate the shot!

Apparently he was a former high school QB. He definitely looked like a gunslinger as he threw that ball.
