Well, in my
mock both are available at that point, and the Lions select Davis. Antrel has the ability to shut down one side of the field, this is true, but Thomas can roam the field, and help the pass defense (one would hope a safety does that) as well as give great run support. There is speculation about his lack of INTs, but he is relatively new to the position, so he could very well get better at that too. Besides, Detroit needs some CB depth, but they still have two solid CBs in Fernando Bryant and Dre Bly.
