Who should the Lions draft?

Postby mutantseabass » Thu Feb 03, 2005 3:23 am

Assuming both Rolle and Thomas Davis are both on the board when it comes down to the Lions pick at 10 who would you take? I have seen Rolle play very solid player would help the lions out in my mind from day one. Thomas Davis i have done a little digging on today and posted a message on the leftovers forum and have had nothing but very positive feedback. I am goin to wait to dig a little more on Davis. I would like to hear your thoughts. Or maybe you think that we should go in another direction?

Well, in my mock both are available at that point, and the Lions select Davis. Antrel has the ability to shut down one side of the field, this is true, but Thomas can roam the field, and help the pass defense (one would hope a safety does that) as well as give great run support. There is speculation about his lack of INTs, but he is relatively new to the position, so he could very well get better at that too. Besides, Detroit needs some CB depth, but they still have two solid CBs in Fernando Bryant and Dre Bly.
