Like I said earlier this week. Saying goodbye to a great man and a superstar. Have a great life Emmitt! We'll here from you again when you're in the Hall.

Good to see him step out after having a nice year with the Cardinals. I guess those false retirement reports were false! Well, if Emmitt, Deion and Brett all retire this year, the Hall of Fame will be quite busy in five years!

He's retiring more times than Michael Jordan here lately. What about that quote from yesterday saying he WASN'T retiring?

Sad to see a great step down, hopefully Brett Favre won't do it to us this year. Then I would be really sad. :,-(

See ya, Emmitt. Thanks for the memories. I'll admit I grew frustrated with you at times, but you truly are one of the greats. See you in Canton in five; a first year vote in. ;-D :,-(

But does this mean he won't sign with the Cowboys this season and retire as a Lone Star? If he doesn't, I'll be really sad.

Former LB, Brian Cox was on the radio this morning and was pretty crude towards Emmitt Smith announcing his retirement during Super Bowl week. He felt it was egotistical and inappropriate. I myself don't share his feelings on the matter, but how does the cafe feel about this?

I just watched Emmitt on SportsCenter, and it seemed like he said if Arizona made him an offer, he'd probably come back. I don't follow Arizona that closely, have they said for sure they don't want him back?
