Superbowl Pre-game

Postby nytitans5 » Thu Feb 03, 2005 5:26 pm

I find it ridiculous FOX is starting their pre-game stuff at 9am...honestly, who is gonna watch that for 9 hours before the game starts? I'm planning on watching the Arena Football on NBC instead-it's fast paced and much more entertaining than pre-Superbowl stuff. Does anyone else feel this way?

hahaha... congrats on your first post being one who criticizes those who take the pregame way too seriously. :-b And welcome...

Anyways, I will probably have the pregame on as soon as I wake up (sure as Hell not 9...), and watch it for several hours before the game.

Lewis Black once quoted "there wasn't enough liquor in the world to sit through that long of a pregame." I have some Stolichnaya, so I intend to prove him wrong... }:-)

I dont think they are thinking someone will watch them for 9 hours, they more just have it so you can tune in all day. Its a huge event and its only appropriate. Yeah ill be watching or doing something else all day too, mainly cause Im still sour about our loss.
I even threw away 2 straight issues of sporting news bc they had SB stuff on the front :-P :*) !+)

After 2 weeks of "pregame" the only way I could stand the thought of watching FOX's pregame show is if Jillian does 8.5 hours of weather, modeling scantier and skankier clothing the closer to blast-off...err...I mean kick-off time. ;-D 8-o ;-D

I don't watch any of the pre-game stuff. It's all human interest stories and other tidbits about the workup to the game that I just don't care about watching. I try my hardest to wait until about 6:35 to turn it to the game since it never seems to start on time. :-)

Couldn't agree more, MB. I don't care about blah-blah's high school blah-blah. Just give me a solid analysis of the game, throw in some historical highlights and kick the damn football.
